We’re about 90% finished with about 90% of the tracks for our first ever, full-length collaboration and I’m loving how it sounds. Bradley and I are hoping to have everything finished and mixed by the end of June. Then the whole lot will be sent off for mastering and then directly to your ear drums.
We’re also planning our first video shoot “we are okay,” for mid-june to have the video ready pre-album release. Stay tuned. Brandon
Weaver Brothers project is nearing completion!

Posted in track a week on October 2, 2009 by yoursistersmusicNow that I’ve had a few months to digest all of the ideas from the project, I’m happy to be starting work on what will hopefully be two full-length projects. I’ve sent a few of the ideas down to Bradley to begin our first collaboration, I can’t wait to see where he takes the songs and I’m excited to start what could possibly be the first full-length Weaver brothers project.
While we’re working (i’ll keep this blog semi-updated on the progress) I wanted to post what I thought to be the best ten tracks from the “track-a-week” challenge. These tracks are the ones that I felt came the closest to finished songs throughout the project. Althought these are my favorites as they stand, they’re not necessarily the first ones we will focus on this fall, but I think they’re great starts. Enjoy, Brandon

Track a week: 52 – the final week
Posted in track a week on July 26, 2009 by yoursistersmusic052 – 26 July 2009 – Swiftly, but not quietly
This is the final week to end the year long challenge. Not the blow-out, mind-melting closer that I had been envisioning, but I think a pretty solid start, as I think many of the weeks were.
The project has provided everything I could had hoped in terms of; brainstorming of ideas, rapid experimentation with multiple instruments and recording techniques, and, at the end, working more with the Tascam 388 reel to reel than I ever had.
I’m looking forward to digging into the twenty or so of my favorites and working through two new LPs.

recorded with the H2 in my parents summer house, performed on the Hammond organ lightly dusted off, poorly planned and played.
